Prelude to Germinal, Act III for Orchestra (2002)

Prelude to third act of Germinal, a Grand Opera in Three Acts. The work depicts a transition from the end of the second act, where Levaque, father of Catherine (the heroine of the opera) accidentally dies, to the beginning of the third act, where the whole town is suffering the terrible truth that the general strike has failed and they have to face returning to work or losing their means to survive.
